Team Lustgarten Raises $86,000 for Research

This past April, eleven athletes from across the nation joined together in a shared passion for running and raising awareness and support for pancreatic cancer research as members of Team Lustgarten in the 2010 Boston Marathon.
Team Lustgarten knew no boundaries in its efforts to raise awareness and dollars for pancreatic cancer research, including using all available means of networking – from conventional methods such as face-to-face exchanges, to contemporary approaches such as posting donation solicitations on Facebook. Individual Team Lustgarten members also took their personal commitments to new lengths: Consider Jarett Berke, a US Marine who continued his fundraising efforts despite his deployment to Afghanistan, and Gary Resnick, a pancreatic cancer fighter and avid runner who continues forging ahead in his mission to raise vital dollars for research. Special thanks to Susan Hurley for managing The Lustgarten Foundation’s participation in the Marathon, and to members of Team Lustgarten for their tireless dedication.
