Thank you for visiting our site! We are presently organizing a fundraiser for the Lustagarten Foundation. It will be held in Rochester, N.Y. on March 13, 2010, at the RIT Inn and Conference Center (check the community calendar at www.lustgarten.org for information). You can purchase tickets by March 5,2010 by contacting Nicole at luau2010@yahoo.com. Tickets can not be purchased at this site, this is strickley for donations.
This fund raiser began as project in memory of our dad, cousin, and friend that have all died of Pancreatic Cancer. As more and more people join our "team" to help us organize this fund raiser, we are constantly meeting many new friends that want to defeat this horrible disease as much as we do. We are surprised daily at how many people within the Rochester area have been hit by Pancreatic Cancer.
On behalf of all the people that are now helping to organize this important event, we want to thank each person who has taken the time to visit this site, donate, or purchase tickets to attend our fund raiser.

Thank you for your support, every dollar counts!! Have a great day!!

3/11/2010My grandmother and sister both died of pancreatic cancer. Like many of you have mentioned, the testing to detect this cancer was not extensive enough as the symptoms appeared to be associated with other illnesses. Once detected there were no treatments that could be done. The sad thing is that it hit our family twice. The Lustgarten Foundation is a tremendous organization and will utilize these donated funds to help to determine earlier detection.Sandra Marek

1/5/2010My husband passed away on 12/15/09 of pancreatic cancer, after a valiant 8-month battle. He had surgery in June of 2009, but it had already spread to his liver. Thanks for starting this fundraiser. As of right now, I know of two gentlemen in Rome alone who are battling this disease. I pray for them every day, as I know what an uphill battle they are both facing, and I would hate to see them suffer as my husband did. A donation will be forthcoming.Sari Verrenti
