Community Walks
In 2001, The Lustgarten Foundation created the first-of-its-kind Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk to generate critical dollars for research. Each year since, thousands of individuals join the fight against pancreatic cancer by participating in the Walk. Today, our Walk series includes sites across the nation, from New York to California.
Sometimes, distance prevents individuals from attending one of the Foundation’s large-scale Pancreatic Cancer Research Walks. Many of these friends have been inspired to create Walks in their own communities. We are proud to be a part of this groundswell of interest, and invite you to join in the fight by creating an 'In My Community' Walk of your own.
What are the Goals of an 'In My Community' Walk?
- To raise awareness of pancreatic cancer and the work of The Lustgarten Foundation
- To raise critically needed dollars for research into the cause and cure of pancreatic cancer
- To celebrate progress in the fight against pancreatic cancer
- To honor loved ones who have survived, are battling, or who have been lost to the disease
