The Lustgarten Foundation is proud to highlight Pancreatic Cancer Research Walks that are helping to support critically needed research. Special thanks to everyone who has joined the fight by creating or participating in a Walk.

Walk for HopeStamford, NY 

On September 26, 2009, the Mattice and Stiber families presented the 4th Annual Walk for Hope. Although the Walk was created in memory of the families' mother, Anna Mattice, and their uncle, John Stiber, it is dedicated to the entire pancreatic cancer community. The 4th Annual Walk for Hope raised close to $7,000 for research! Special thanks to the Mattice and Stiber families, and everyone who supported this event.

 

Bridgewater, NJ WalkBridgewater, NJ

Judy Blewjas was lost to pancreatic cancer in August 2008 after a courageous year-long battle with the disease. On September 19, 2009, family and friends hosted the Inaugural Judy Blejwas Memorial Walk  to celebrate her life and honor her memory, while raising awareness and dollars for research.  Judy's Walk raised more than $11,000 - exceeding the family's fundriaising goals and expectations! Thanks to everyone for making this inaugural event a success.  

Bernie's Walk

Pen Argyl, PA

On September 19, 2009, family and friends hosted the Inaugural Bernie's Walk in the community where Bernie Ceraul lived, worked, raised a family and touched many lives. In 2007, Bernie underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer, followed by chemotherapy and radiation. She was lost to the disease just over one year after diagnosis. In celebration of Bernie’s life, and in tribute to her memory, family and friends organized Bernie’s Walk to increase awareness and raise critically needed funding for pancreatic cancer research. The Inaugural Bernie's Walk raised close to $2,500!
